High Camp Hut Commitment:
A Privately Protected 320-Acre Refuge
High Camp is an inholding within the Rico and West Dolores District of the San Juan National Forest, surrounded on three sides by the Grizzly Peak Research Natural Area. This area protects slow moving rock glaciers, unique water sources like fens, and subalpine fir forests. High Camp is safeguarded by a conservation easement with The Nature Conservancy, ensuring it remains undeveloped.

Our board and staff are deeply connected to High Camp, our mission, and the communities we serve. We cultivate strong partnerships with like-minded organizations to provide meaningful outdoor experiences. Our goal is to inspire, educate, and connect guests to the natural world.
